SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Boom Supersonic, which is building the Mach 1.7 Overture supersonic airliner that will revolutionize commercial plane travel, has announced that longtime Port San Antonio customer StandardAero will oversee construction of the aircraft's Symphony engine

 

One of the world's leading independent providers of support services for commercial and military aircraft, StandardAero has been based at the Port for over 25 years and operates over 800,000 square feet of highly specialized industrial facilities for maintenance, overhaul, testing and R&D work.

The company continues to grow its workforce while driving aerospace innovation forward by operating its own in-house training program. The 16-week paid program trains aerospace newcomers who exhibit an aptitude to become the next generation of aircraft technicians and mechanics.
