Each year, The Help Desk Institute (HDI) honors the very best in the technical support and service management profession. The institute’s Service and Support Awards celebrate both individuals and teams that have achieved the highest standards of excellence and quality in the industry. Dynamic Advancement received recognition for all categories in the San Antonio area, and the company’s winners will be moving up to compete at the national level in early 2020. This is also the second consecutive year Dynamic Advancement has won the Best Service and Support Technician category, with Director of Testing and Examination Antonio Bryant capturing the award in 2018 as well. Longtime chapter leader Bernard Beaullieu (pictured) stopped by to congratulate the team on a dominant performance and hand out certificates of achievement.

The ideal candidates have exemplary people skills, advanced technical skills, a commitment to providing excellent service and a record of consistently exceeding performance objectives.

BEST SERVICE AND SUPPORT MANAGER
This award acknowledges and honors a service and support manager who has excelled at supporting all IT services within his or her organization and who most clearly demonstrates the ability to advance information technology within his or her industry.

Team Certified Pinnacle of Excellence Award
This award acknowledges support centers with four or more employees who have achieved 100% certification by HDI for all members of the organization. This is HDI’s highest award and denotes a commitment to learning and exceling at customer service, support and satisfaction.

Since opening its doors at Port San Antonio in 2017, Dynamic Advancement has quickly positioned itself as one of San Antonio’s top Professional Development firms. Initially focused solely on IT/cybersecurity, the firm has since expanded its offerings to include Project Management, Lean, Six Sigma and many other business certifications. Founded in Hawaii, the company moved its headquarters to the Port to be near large cybersecurity headquarter operations, including the U.S. Department of Defense — its biggest customer.

The company’s facility is accredited to provide a unique array of certifications — including Pearson VUE, Kryterion, CLEP and DSST — and its test center allows professionals to bolster their careers by earning a computer certification or college credit. Further broadening its reach, the firm is also the only Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center in San Antonio that offers Texas Education Agency exams. These certification exams are required for anyone wishing to pursue a career in education and become a teacher.
Since many local employers now require certifications, the new test center offers an invaluable amenity for all working professionals on and around the Port.
“With testing for most of the popular examinations available onsite, people won’t need to travel far,” says Dynamic Advancement President Kekai Namauu. “As a result, they may be more likely to continue to develop professionally, thus strengthening the local workforce.”
Dynamic Advancement serves a wide variety of industries, including academia, finance, government, health care, IT and the military. Adult students who enroll in the company’s test center and earn CLEP credits to apply toward a college degree could achieve substantial savings. Dynamic Advancement has also implemented a night/weekend testing window, specifically for working military members or professionals who cannot get away from work during the week to test.
